How the Diamond app's hot feed works 👇🏼

Well, since I wrote the algorithm I might be able to help out here :)

The algorithm is very simple: it adds up the DESO locked of all the creators that have "interacted" with a given post and then adds a time decay for the post's age. An interaction can be any of the following: a like, a diamond, a comment, or a repost. The DESO locked in a creator coin is an expensive signal to imitate, which gives us a unique tool for fighting bots.

There is also a configurable "DESO locked cap", which can be adjusted to prevent whales from having too much sway.

Sorry I've been quiet. We've been hard at work, with some travel mixed in.

I'm seeing some people requesting a clearer roadmap. The difficulty with this is that dates can slip, and we need to be careful about what we make public in order to ensure reporters don't feel like we "scooped" them. This happened, for example, with NFTs because we were too public about them before-hand.

That said, I'll do my best to give some more concrete timings 👇
