Clarification: The desktop app is more secure because there are no browser extensions. Many extensions have full access to your browser and can snoop your data.

Also, the Mac app isn’t quite ready yet. I’ll make another post when it’s available for download.

I want to welcome all of the new people who started BitClout in the last few days. Thank you for taking a leap of faith and giving this platform a try.

BitClout isn’t perfect, but I think it’s worth a shot at a decentralized social network.

This place is riddled with imposters and scams though, and there is no content moderation team to protect you. As with the real world, you have to think with your own mind.

If you want to live in the “safe garden” protected by tech companies, go back to Twitter and Instagram.

If you want to have control of your destiny, you’re in the right place

Bring your IRL friends, or make friends here. Build a network of people you trust. Heck, why not start your own guild!
