Nice! Funny my hubby had palm noodles as well after his 24 hr fast! Lol. I discovered very good zero-carb crapes that I go to!

I haven’t shared a lot of food photos lately, but after a week of eating all the unleavened bread I could bake, I needed to rid myself of the carbs again.

My husband asked me to make his favorite Thai chicken spring rolls (that I learned to make at a cooking class in Thailand), but this time, I took my filling and ate it over hearts of palm noodles.

I’ve eaten some weird low carb noodles, but these were delicious. I would definitely eat them again.

Gado-gado is a kind of vegetable salad that is served with a peanut sauce dressing. It is one of the most popular dishes in Indonesia which is also known as Lotek in the Javanese and Sudanese languages. The dish is believed to have originated in the Betawi kitchens who are Indonesians of Malay origin. It was consumed by the local population during the Dutch colonial era in the 17th century as a nutritious and inexpensive dish.
Gado-gado in Indonesian literally means "mix-mix" .
The whole point of Gado Gado is to be versatile.

Spinach, beansprouts, egg and cucumber are typically included, Potato or some rice for starch or, bulk out on more filling vegetables such as broccoli or cauliflower. Fried tofu and/or tempe cubes, another protein an assortment;
kerupuk udang (prawn crackers) and/or emping (melinjo crackers)
bawang goreng (fried shallots) and spicy peanut sauce. Most of the prep work involves cutting and blanching the vegetables, but it goes by quickly. Prawn crackers are the traditional accompaniment, but store-bought vegetable chips make a great vegan substitute.

Vegetables layered cake!
This is a very traditional Russian appetizer that is prepared for every special occasion. Normally it’s made with herring and eggs and vegetables! I am doing a vegan version!
Eggs was replaced with my version of #vegan scramble eggs, herring was replaced with marinated mushrooms and capers.
So from top to bottom:
Vegan mayo, Beets, green apple, vegan scramble eggs, touch of mayo, onion salt, boiled carrots, caraway kraut, boiled potato, nice layer of mayo, marinated onions, marinated mushrooms, capers, fake stumble eggs.
I take a nice round bowl and add plastic wrap and layer in the order listed, after cover the wrap and add light weight, in a fridge overnight.
When ready to eat turnover and you have a nice cake to present!

Chorrillana or bistec a la chorrillana is a popular Chilean dish served mostly in pubs where it is labeled as an appetizer or a dish that is meant to be shared. The basis of the meal are French fries which are covered in a combination of fried or scrambled eggs, strips of beef, and caramelized onions.
Roomers Chorrillana was first introduced in 1972 by Chilean dive bars and cafes in downtown Valparaiso.
