A lot of truth in this. Anyone can spin up a node but can you get anyone interested in it?

This is the issue.

In theory, any of us can create our own nodes (and many do).

In practice, the chances of our nodes getting actual usage are very low.

Building the functionality is not the hard part. Getting a steady flow of engaged users is.
