If you back your NFT with a real thing, such a stock, it could be considered a security and if it's not properly registered as one, depending on jurisdiction, it could have a legal risk— thus folks may be shy to buy.

If your NFT contains anyone else work or is based on another work, it could create an intellectual property issue, again, depending on jurisdiction. And folks may be shy to buy.

Sometimes you can bypass issues, for example, copyright- if you are or have an entity based in China (since they don't acknowledge US copyright.) Or, Belarus might not require the registration of crypto-securities. Some countries regulate companies but not persons. Some do both. Some neither.

@Cloutsies clones exist OFF of Bitclout. They're basically WRAPPED NFTs so you can PLAY on other chains, farm, etc. We're very much inspired by Blockchain Cuties multichain implementations.

Ghost Cloutsies are Cloutsies that have been cloned but their clone expired, so they can only come back to the blockchain as a ghost. Ha! And Zombie Cloutsies are Ghosts whose clone expired, so they raise from the dead as Zombies. Cloned Zombies never change, they can only be burned. There is no cure (yet.)

You have to return your NFT to Bitclout to keep your Cloutsie Alive. But maybe you prefer dead and undead Cloutsies? Maybe you do. ;)
