Addendum to the previous post to help with the visualization. (Any national flag similarities are purely coincidental)
My original intent with this post was to show how the FF and coin price effect the amount of further investment required to breakeven.
Another 'think before you ape' by-the-numbers post.
Thought about a few different ways of displaying this and settled on this as the most illustrative.
You can see that each instance requires a significant amount of further investment for the purchase to reach breakeven.
I thought my buy trigger was running a bit slow today- turns out the fee adjustment just led to the buy screen looking higher than advertised
Go off Chingon!
I can understand their reasoning- but you definitely have a point about the advance notice
Here's a simple one that I've seen a few people getting tripped up by.
Founder's fee reward is subtracted from your initial buy. This means that if you pay a fee of 20% for a coin you will actually need a return of 25% to breakeven.
Founder's fee hurdle table:
Congrats to @NFTCardArt for winning the competition!
& thanks everyone for taking part, I promise it's the last time I'll indulge in such a shameless pr stunt
Don't wanna be that guy but reclouts arriving on the same day as @pain_tmaster gives my fish his sweet laser eyes? Has to be celebrated!
Will invest $1k worth of BitClout into a randomly chosen account that likes + reclouts this.
Winner selected at 1200 ET Sunday 11th April
The Importance of Being Early
Inspired by the @lepahc recent dive into a profile's actual trades I decided to look at a dummy example to see just how much of an impact the bonding curve has on buys & sells.
Spoiler alert: A massive impact.
DYOR - Do your own research
There's a reason it's a meme in the crypto community and esp in BitClout. As the FOMO of a newly pumped creator coin starts kicking in and you're considering apeing in, take a second to look at who has recommended the coin and their motivations.
We're all excited about the tech possibilities of this platform and it's being discussed to death.
One thing I'm not seeing much discussion about yet is the ramifications it could have on cancel culture.. 1/3
The very nature of being here so early probably means you're a good buy.
Hard to not just click buy on every coin in sight!
